Extension in a Suburb

This project concerns the extension and renovation in part of a family house located in a low-density, leafy suburb of Athens.
The goal is to increase the easy-living spaces of the house by transforming the auxiliary spaces of the ground floor into cozy, relaxing spaces giving to the backyard, where the new part of the building is placed. This extension, a lightweight structure of metal and glass can be temporarily fully open becoming the transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The selection of dark wood, grey marble, black metal and leather as main material palette indicates the underlying luxury demanded by the client.
